I’m Joel McNeece, a journalist for nearly 30 years, always interested in a great story. My career has afforded me opportunities to travel often and I take advantage of it by exploring all my passions – good drinks, great food and making memorable experiences.
A little bit more about Joel.
My full-time job is publisher of the Calhoun County Journal in Bruce, Mississippi. I am also past president of the Mississippi Press Association and coach a little soccer from time to time.
I’ve been fortunate to win numerous awards through the years for writing in news, sports and my weekly column. In 2009, I was honored with the Dan Phillips Leadership Award from the National Newspaper Association.
I am passionate about newspapers and cherish every opportunity to go tell their story. My other hobbies include soccer, politics, Harley Davidson motorcycles, music, hanging out with great friends, and spending time with my family.
